In order to practice as an aromatherapist in South Africa, you need to be registered with the Allied Health Professions Council of South Africa (AHPCSA) as a Therapeutic Aromatherapist.  Training is over 2 years at an accredited institution.  Currently the only institutions recognized by the AHPCSA for therapeutic aromatherapy are Camelot International and Potchefstroom Akademie.  For contact details of these institutions please click on "Education" on the link below:
